Date:

Wednesday, November 20, 2013 - 10:00am to 2:00pm

On November 20th join in the worldwide celebration of Geographic Information Science (GIS) Day, the annual salute to geospatial technology and its power to transform and better our lives.  U-Spatial will be hosting an open house from 10AM - 2PM in 609 SocSci and invite you to stop by and learn more about the fascinating work happening on campus.  There will be an arts and crafts activity and a Geocaching contest with a $50 prize.  Refreshments and cake will be served.

This year, U-Spatial will also be offering a quick, 15 minute tutorial on the University of Minnesota ArcGIS Online account. Learn how to turn your tabular data into an easy web app! This would be a great opportnity to begin a map for the U-Spatial Mapping Prize. Two sessions will be offered on November 20th, 10:30 and 11:30 am. We have a fun activity planned titled "Finding Goldy". To sign up for this tutorial, please fill out this form
